Inspired by a desire to create a business that goes beyond the ordinary, Gethin embarked on a transformative experience during a year abroad in Denmark. In Denmark, immersed in the Nordic culture, Gethin discovered the profound impact of saunas on physical and mental well-being. The close-knit community and ritualistic use of saunas left a lasting impression, igniting Gethin's vision to bring this rejuvenating experience to his hometown of Aberystwyth.

Iolo ap Dafydd

A visionary founder of the ABERPOETH team, he brings a wealth of expertise in health and fitness to the sauna business. His academic journey led him to the University of South Wales, where he delved into the science of Strength and Conditioning. Iolo's commitment to understanding the intricacies of human physical performance and wellness laid the foundation for his keen interest in promoting health.

After some difficult times in 2018, Iolo looked into various holistic methods to assist with his Insomnia and Mental Health difficulties. The discovery and research of Sauna and Cold Therapy intrigued his curiosity and began his journey into how beneficial the hot and cold are for our mental health as well as our physical health. The journey began!
